The short version. We collect what we need to seat you at a good table and to keep the table safe. Restaurants never learn who you are. Other guests never see your contact details or your votes. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to advertise to you anywhere else.
Section 1Who is responsible for your information
Fifth Wheel Supper Club, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company doing business as Fifth Wheel, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@5thwheel.app.
Section 2What we collect

Sensitive information
Some of what we collect is treated as sensitive under privacy law — specifically, how you identify and who you are open to being seated with. We collect it for one reason: it is impossible to build a table of five people who might be interested in one another without it. We use it only to decide who sits together. We never disclose it to venues, never use it for advertising, and never sell or share it for anyone else’s commercial purposes. You provide it voluntarily when you complete a profile, and you may ask us to delete it at any time, though we will not be able to seat you afterwards.
Identity documents
Identity verification is performed by a third-party provider. Your photo ID and any selfie you take are submitted directly to that provider and are processed under their controls. Fifth Wheel does not receive, store, or have access to images of your identity documents or your face. We receive the outcome of the check and the details necessary to confirm you are who you said you are.
Section 3Why we use it
- To seat you. Curating a table is the core of the Service, and it is what your profile exists for.
- To run the evening. Confirming your seat, sending you the address, reminding you, and collecting the vote.
- To take payment and to process refunds under the cancellation terms.
- To confirm you are real. Every guest at the table has been verified, which is what makes the format work.
- To keep the table safe. Reviewing reports, and deciding who is seated again.
- To improve. Understanding which venues and which pairings worked.
- To email you about new tables, if you asked us to. You can stop this at any time and it does not affect your booking messages.
- To meet legal obligations, including tax and accounting records.
Section 4Who else sees it
Venues
Restaurants and bars receive a confirmed party count, a reservation time, and the name Fifth Wheel. They do not receive guest names, contact details, photographs, ages, application answers, votes, or match outcomes. Where a table has an allergy or dietary requirement we pass that to the kitchen, and we do so without naming you wherever that is practical. This restriction is built into our systems, not merely promised.
Other guests
Before an evening, the four other guests know only that a table has been formed. Names and profile details are revealed at check-in, not before. Other guests never see your contact details unless a mutual match results and you choose to share them, and they never see your votes — a vote that is not mutual is never recorded as a result and is never disclosed to anyone.

Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and each is bound to use it only for that purpose.
Everyone else
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We disclose information outside the above only where the law requires it, where it is necessary to protect someone’s safety, or where a business is transferred — in which case this policy continues to apply.
Section 5How long we keep it

When a retention period ends we delete the information or irreversibly anonymise it.
Section 6Your rights
Whatever state or country you are in, we will honour the following. Write to hello@5thwheel.app and we will respond within 30 days.
- Access. Ask what we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Correction. Fix anything inaccurate. You can edit most of it yourself in your profile.
- Deletion. Ask us to erase your information. We will, except for records we are legally required to keep and any safety report, which we retain in a minimised form.
- Portability. Receive your information in a machine-readable format.
- Opt out of marketing. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. Booking confirmations, address reveals, and refund notices are not marketing and continue regardless.
- Limit sensitive information. Ask us to stop using how you identify or who you are open to meeting. We will honour it, and we will no longer be able to seat you.
- No retaliation. Exercising any of these rights will never affect how you are treated.
We do not require you to create an account to exercise these rights, and we will not charge you for it.
Section 7Text messages
When you book a seat, you agree to receive text messages about that booking — confirmation, the address on the day, a reminder, the ballot prompt, and your result. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Opting out of texts means we cannot send you the address of your table, so please tell us if you do. Message and data rates may apply.
Section 8Security
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to coordinators who need it, and reports and votes are restricted further still — votes are not readable by any guest, including the person who cast them, and reports are visible only to a coordinator. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.
Section 9Age
Fifth Wheel is for adults aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have, we delete it. If you believe a minor has given us information, write to us.
Section 10Where your information is held
We operate in the United States and our providers store information in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed here, under United States law.
Section 11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you by email or text before it takes effect.
